In the morning, I get up 7 am. To go to
Alleppy by boat and return back here is today's travel plan. The cruise moves and leaves
the shore slowly just in time after loaded the passenger, almost European. |
今朝、７時起床。今日は、Alleppyまでボートで行き、バスで今夜中に又ここへ戻る計画。１０時過ぎ、ほぼ定刻通り、ボートはヨーロッパ人達、乗客を満載、ゆっくり岸を離れる。 |

Coming ｔhe opposed cruise with the roof of
thatch, our passengers are amazed by it and pass on exhaling. This cruise is the House
boat with most popular inKerala. The House boats can be chartered through
the DTPC in
Kollam(Quilon)They can be hired on a day basis(Rs 3500per boat) or over night Rs5000. |
かやぶき張りの対向豪華船に目を見張る。庶民を乗せた船はため息と共に見送るのみ。ケララ今一番の売り出し物のハウスボートです。
このハウスボートはコルラムの DTPCで予約できる。グループでチャーターする。１日の１ボートチャータ料、Ｒs３５００。費用を弾んで(Rs5000)オーバナイトクルーズも一興。

| 乗客はイタリア人、オーストリア人などヨーロッパ系と日本人。後便のクルーズは我がクルーズにいつの間にか追いついた。風もなくよく晴れた昼下がり、軽口を叩きながらのんびりと。良かったです、バックウオータの船旅。 The
passengers on the boat are included Italian, Austrian, etc, and Japanese.The 2nd
cruise(Picture), they catch up on our boat before I knew it. Breathless fine early
afternoon, on the Backwater cruise, everyone were fine. |

Children waving hands run on the shore
making after our cruise. The cruise calmly makes way canal sewing among the palm trees.
Charch on the shore, houses, large cargo and floating passenger boat on Indian ocean,
they close in, and go away.
What I pick up charming points for Backwater are regard to this large scale excursion.
The passengers consist of Italian, Dutch, Frenchman, Austrian and Japanese from Tokyo
young couple, and many others.
On the return way, had hardly arrived before I must take a bus to back to Quilon at the
night taking 2hours. Breathe again as I can arrive there safty.
If it had possible to stay the night in Alleppy, became nice trip more. However there
is nothing for it but to do because of a trip such a happy-go-lucky.
In bas, I cool it with young boy emigrant from Kuwayt. I ask him about Indian life. He
said that economical educating system of India is atractive for him. Japanese wonder how this
easiness they are!

手を振りながら子どもたちはボートを追いかけ岸辺を走る。
ヤシの木の間を縫いながら船は運河をしずかに進む。
遠くの岸辺の教会、家々、インド洋に浮かぶ大型貨客船、土地の人々の笑顔が、迫って、そして去ってゆく。
バックウォータの売りは人それぞれにあろうが、このスケールのおおきさも魅力である。乗船客はイタリア人、オランダ人、フランス人、そして東京からの若者たち, その他大勢。
帰路。夜１９時、薄暗く帳の下り始めたAlleppyの街を慌ただしくバスで去る。２時間かけて夜のQuilonへ帰還。無事着くことが出来て、ほっと一息する。
Alleppyに泊まることが出来ればもっと良い旅になったが、行当たりばったりの旅の性格上このようなドタバタもしかたない。
バスの中では乗客のインド人（クエートからの移住者）少年と打ち解ける。彼によれば、インド生活は教育費などエコノミカルだそうだ。クウェートからインドへ、生活が楽だから、来るという、この気軽さは何だろう、と日本人は思う。
