The train today
continues to head for the south. In the evening, the each destination of my companions on
the road closes in on. I say good bye to nice guy at Sankarankovil St., to mother and
her daughter at Kattarakara St.. The train gets Quilon Junction (Kollam)on 1 hour later by
welcoming domestic animals like a cow, goat on the railway.
The darkness close in on. I hoped to get settled at an inn before
coming night. I could get check in the hotel located on the hill which enables overlooking
the streets of Kollam. The room is equipped bath, toilet with No TV set, no airconditioner
but electric fan and ample room.I take a meal restaurant with other European guests.

今日も列車は南へ走る。
夕方、旅の道連れのそれぞれの目的地が迫る。青年とサンカランコビル駅で、母と娘とはカッタラカラ駅で別れる。列車は牛やヤギ等の家畜の歓迎で、クイロンに１時間遅れの到着。夜の帳が迫る。暗くならない内に宿に落ち着きたい。高台の街を見下ろすホテルにチェックイン。久しぶりの洗濯。テレビも、エアコンも無いが、扇風機がある、バストイレつきのゆったりした部屋。大きなガラス窓から街並が一望できる、見晴らしはいい部屋。ホテルのレストランで夕食。クリスマスを楽しむカップル、私と同じ観光客のヨーロッパ人。 |
